Marko Geršak, one of the pioneers of personal training, group workouts, and Pilates in Slovenia, is an internationally recognized expert who has shared his knowledge at more than 30 international congresses worldwide. For many years, as an ambassador of the European Register of Exercise Professionals (EREPS), he has represented high-quality work in the field of fitness. Always with a positive mindset, he motivates his colleagues (the BODIFIT team counts more than 80 professional members) and, together with them, has led BODIFIT over 25 years to become the largest Slovenian fitness organization, with more than 8,000 members and 8 training centers. His colleagues describe him as a locomotive of ideas, constantly improving and upgrading training concepts. Yet, he says that the greatest achievement for any individual is a return to the fundamentals—a journey that, after 25 years with BODIFIT, he is truly making again at the 15th International BODIFIT Fitness Convention!

REFORMER FOR BEGINNERS (Teachers and Practitioners) (masterclass)

The Reformer, as patented by Joseph Pilates, has remained unchanged throughout the years and is undoubtedly considered one of the most complex exercise apparatuses of all time. In the rush for quick results, the Pilates technique has often been distorted, diverging from the way it was taught in traditional Pilates schools. Which approaches and methods can a beginner Pilates teacher use to guide their clients toward proper exercise modifications, correct use of the apparatus, and sustainable long-term results? Marko will present the steps on how to best introduce the Pilates training concept to beginners in a pedagogically sound way and inspire them with results as envisioned by Pilates himself.
