Petar Čelik is an icon of bodybuilding from the former Yugoslavia, a multiple European and World Champion, and a pioneer of the sport in the region. In addition to his remarkable competitive achievements, he is known as the founder of the first fitness clubs and the magazine Hercules, paving the way for generations of athletes.
His understanding of bodybuilding goes beyond competition – he prefers to call it body shaping or body culture, emphasizing that true sport is not merely about chasing results but about conscious care for one’s health and holistic personal development. In his view, health should come first, with athletic success arising naturally from it. Even in his seventies, Čelik remains a symbol of dedication, discipline, and healthy living, inspiring many who see bodybuilding as a way of cultivating both body and character rather than just a competitive discipline.

Workshops
BODY SHAPING – FOOD IS MEDICINE, MEDICINE SHOULD BE FOOD (workshop)
The workshop will be held in Serbian.

Peter will share his views and approach to bodybuilding as a path to body sculpting and overall health. He will present how physical fitness and athletic achievements should serve the purpose of cultivating both the body and well-being. While a sculpted physique and muscle mass are the foundation of this discipline, the true essence lies in achieving balance and building a modern bodybuilding culture in our environment. At the heart of sport should always be health, from which results naturally emerge—rather than chasing goals beyond one’s physical limits. Peter has developed a system where, through a healthy lifestyle, training, nutrition, rest, and an understanding of balance, one can live by the ancient Hippocratic principle: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”
